An Essex County man has pleaded guilty to charges related to the online enticement and exploitation of minors, according to an announcement by Senior Counsel Philip Lamparello.
Abdur-Razzaaq Henderson, 29, from East Orange, New Jersey, entered his plea before U.S. District Court Judge Katharine S. Hayden in Newark federal court. He admitted guilt to two counts of producing child pornography and one count of possessing prepubescent child pornography.
Court documents and statements indicate that in April and July 2023, Henderson communicated via text with two minor victims who were located outside New Jersey. During these interactions, he requested and received videos from both minors depicting sexually explicit conduct. Additionally, he discussed sexually assaulting a younger sibling with the second victim.
On March 5, 2024, law enforcement officers discovered a cell phone in Henderson’s possession containing multiple videos of child pornography stored in a hidden folder among his photos.
As part of his plea agreement, Henderson also accepted responsibility for enticing seven additional minor victims to create sexually explicit material.
Each charge of producing child pornography carries a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years in prison and a maximum penalty of up to 30 years as well as a $250,000 fine. The possession charge could result in up to 20 years in prison and another $250,000 fine.
Senior Counsel Lamparello credited special agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation under Special Agent in Charge Stefanie Roddy for their work on the investigation.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Eli Jacobs is representing the government in this case.
The prosecution is part of Project Safe Childhood—a Department of Justice initiative aimed at combating child sexual exploitation through collaboration among federal, state, and local agencies. More information about Project Safe Childhood can be found at Justice.gov/PSC.
Defense counsel for Henderson is John Yauch.
