Congressman Donald Norcross, who represents New Jersey’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of messages on social media addressing both local election participation and energy policy debates.

On November 3, 2025, Norcross referenced another lawmaker’s stance on energy projects, stating: “So @Congressman_JVD is ok with views like this, but wind turbines 1,000 miles off the coast aimed at lowering energy costs would have ruined his view.”

The following day, Norcross reminded constituents about Election Day in New Jersey. In a post dated November 4, he wrote: “Today is election day in New Jersey! Voting is one of the most important ways to impact your local community, state, and country. Polls are open until 8 pm. Find your polling place at https://t.co/tx0wKb3wFu”

Later that same day, as government funding negotiations continued without resolution, Norcross reiterated his call for civic engagement: “As the shutdown drags on, don’t forget that today is election day! Your vote is your voice, so get out and use it! Polls are open until 8 pm. Find your polling place at https://t.co/tx0wKb3wFu https://t.co/zJKjZvYDrb”

Norcross has represented New Jersey’s 1st district since replacing Rob Andrews in 2014. Prior to his congressional service, he served in both the New Jersey General Assembly and Senate between 2010 and 2014. Born in Camden in 1958 and currently residing there at age 64, Norcross continues to emphasize civic participation among his constituents.
