Congressman Donald Norcross, who represents New Jersey’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, shared updates on social media this week covering local engagement, sports enthusiasm, and commentary on federal worker pay.
On March 26, 2026, Norcross posted about hosting a tour at the Capitol for the Chamber of Commerce Southern New Jersey (CCSNJ). He wrote: “I got the chance to give a Capitol tour to the @ccsnj this week. I’ve always said that the best social program is a good-paying job, and our business community provides those job growth opportunities to residents across New Jersey’s First Congressional District.”
Later that day, he marked Major League Baseball’s Opening Day with a message for Philadelphia Phillies fans: “Happy #OpeningDay Phillies fans! Fingers crossed for another Red October this year! #RingTheBell” (March 26, 2026).
In an evening post on March 26, Norcross addressed disruptions affecting Transportation Security Administration workers during a recent period of missed paychecks. He stated: “Let’s be clear: Trump always had the ability to pay TSA workers and this disruption at our airports didn’t have to happen. Our workers missed paychecks and had to get second jobs to make ends meet. Americans deserve better.”
Norcross has represented New Jersey’s 1st district in Congress since replacing Rob Andrews in 2014. Prior to his tenure in Congress, he served in both the New Jersey General Assembly and Senate between 2010 and 2014. Born in Camden in 1958, Norcross continues to reside there while serving his constituents.
