U.S. Congressman Donald Norcross, who represents New Jersey’s 1st district, shared several updates on his social media account on September 23, 2025, focusing on labor issues, education, public lands, and a tribute to Bruce Springsteen.

In one post from the afternoon of September 23, Norcross described a meeting with Randi Weingarten and the American Federation of Teachers union during the September Labor Caucus. He wrote: “Met with @rweingarten and @AFTunion during our September Labor Caucus meeting. We talked about what educators need: fair pay, safe schools, and respect for their work. When teachers have strong contracts, students thrive.” (posted at 17:47 UTC).

Later that day, Norcross posted a birthday greeting to Bruce Springsteen: “Happy Birthday to the Boss, Bruce Springsteen! A Jersey legend and a voice for the hardworking men and women of America.” (posted at 19:16 UTC).

In an evening message marking National Public Lands Day, Norcross acknowledged those who maintain natural spaces. He stated: “On National Public Lands Day, we thank the workers who maintain our natural spaces and keep them accessible for all to enjoy for generations to come.” (posted at 22:05 UTC).

Norcross has represented New Jersey’s 1st district in Congress since replacing Rob Andrews in 2014. Prior to serving in Congress, he held positions in both the New Jersey General Assembly and State Senate between 2010 and 2014. Born in Camden in 1958 and currently residing there at age 64, Norcross often addresses issues related to labor rights and community welfare.
