Congressman Donald Norcross, who represents New Jersey’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, recently posted a series of tweets highlighting local history, public health initiatives, and community celebrations.
On September 24, 2025, Norcross shared a post about a significant historical site in South Jersey: “Constructed in 1730, this historical landmark is known for its pivotal role in the transition from colony to state. Do you know #WhereInSouthJersey you can find this New Jersey first state-owned historic site? https://t.co/CdxjsKEWjc” (September 24, 2025).
Later that day, he addressed the ongoing opioid crisis and his legislative efforts: “The disease of addiction has touched millions of lives, but recovery is possible when care is accessible. My Modernizing Opioid Treatment Access Act will bring treatment into the 21st century and help more Americans get the care they need.” (September 24, 2025).
In another post on the same date, Norcross recognized Hispanic Heritage Month in Camden County: “Diversity is our strength. Last week, we recognized the history, culture, and contributions of Hispanic Americans at Camden County’s Hispanic Heritage Month awards. Congratulations to the honorees and thank you for your leadership and service to our communities. https://t.co/wMFRL22bOn” (September 24, 2025).
Norcross has served as U.S. Representative for New Jersey’s 1st District since replacing Rob Andrews in 2014. He previously held seats in both the New Jersey General Assembly and Senate between 2010 and 2014. Born in Camden in 1958, Norcross continues to reside there while serving his constituents.
