Congressman Donald Norcross, who represents New Jersey’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared updates on labor issues and congressional activities through a series of tweets.

On November 19, 2025, Norcross congratulated a colleague for joining an important committee, stating, “Congrats to @Rep_Grijalva on joining @EdWorkforceDems! I look forward to working together to ensure workers have a voice on the job, fair wages, and safe conditions. Her experience on the school board, where she helped invest in apprenticeship programs, will be a valuable”.

The following day, he highlighted a meeting involving labor protections: “Yesterday, the @Labor_Caucus held a meeting with @unitehere President @GwenMillsUH to discuss our efforts to preserve worker protections in Congress.” (posted November 20, 2025). In another tweet posted moments later on November 20, Norcross reiterated his perspective on employment policy: “I’ve always said that the best social program is a good job, and we’re working to make those jobs secure, well-compensated, and backed by the strong labor protections every worker deserves.”

Norcross has served as the representative for New Jersey’s 1st district since replacing Rob Andrews in 2014. Prior to his current role in Congress, he served in both the New Jersey General Assembly and Senate between 2010 and 2014. Born in Camden in 1958, Norcross continues to reside there while serving his constituents.
