Congressman Donald Norcross, who represents New Jersey’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, recently posted a series of tweets highlighting his ongoing advocacy for American workers and labor rights.

On September 3, 2025, Norcross reflected on his personal journey and legislative efforts by stating, “From the construction site to Congress, I’ve always carried with me the lessons of Peter J. McGuire. I was honored to lay a wreath at his gravesite and introduce legislation to designate it a National Historic Landmark and honor American workers.”

The following day, September 4, 2025, Norcross discussed a meeting between the Labor Caucus and Jimmy Williams, president of the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades (IUPAT). In his tweet he wrote: “The @Labor_Caucus welcomed @GoIUPAT President Jimmy Williams, who represents 140K finishing trades workers. We talked about his fight against Trump’s anti-worker actions like halting Revolution Wind, repealing clean energy tax credits, & stripping workers of their collective”

Later that same day he shared support for Philadelphia’s football team with a brief message: “Fly eagles fly! Go Birds. Beat Dallas.”

Norcross has represented New Jersey’s 1st District in Congress since 2014 after succeeding Rob Andrews. He previously served in both the New Jersey General Assembly and Senate between 2010 and 2014. Born in Camden in 1958, Norcross continues to reside there while focusing on labor issues throughout his political career.
