Congressman Donald Norcross, who represents New Jersey’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, shared a series of updates on his official Twitter account on December 18, 2025, highlighting his ongoing commitment to South Jersey and marking significant occasions for the region.

In a post made at 15:50 UTC, Norcross reflected on the year’s work with constituents, stating: “As we wrap up the year, we’re still focused on the same thing: showing up for South Jersey. From answering calls to solving problems, here’s what we accomplished together in 2025.”

Later that day at 19:10 UTC, he acknowledged Hanukkah celebrations in the area with a community-focused message: “Across the country, families and communities are coming together to light the menorah and celebrate Hanukkah. Do you know where in South Jersey this menorah is?”

At 20:45 UTC on December 18—the anniversary of New Jersey’s admission as the third state in the Union—Norcross posted a tribute to his home state: “Happy Birthday, New Jersey! Since we became the 3rd state admitted to the Union on December 18, 1787, the Garden State has always punched above its weight. From our workers and small business owners to our communities and families, there’s no place I’d rather call home.”

Norcross has served in Congress since replacing Rob Andrews in 2014. Prior to his tenure in Washington D.C., he was a member of both the New Jersey General Assembly and Senate between 2010 and 2014. Born in Camden in 1958 and currently residing there at age 64, Norcross remains closely tied to his constituency.
