Congressman Donald Norcross, who represents New Jersey’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, used his social media platform this week to address economic and healthcare concerns affecting families in South Jersey.
On December 3, 2025, Norcross posted: “Families in South Jersey are getting squeezed while billionaires keep getting richer. The average family in NJ paid an extra $871 this year because of Trump’s reckless moves and broken promises that line the pockets of the wealthy. I’m in Washington fighting for everyday people, https://t.co/L7GSLaCzZL”.
Later that day, he reflected on the past year’s events with another post: “This has been a crazy year. So much has happened. Here are a few stats to remember as we move towards 2026. Maybe next year, Republicans will actually get to work on lowering costs. https://t.co/IxtohYlqlw”.
On December 4, Norcross addressed upcoming changes to healthcare policy: “ACA premium tax credits are set to expire in just weeks, which would mean devastating premium hikes for millions of families. I am ready to work with all my colleagues in Congress and urge Republicans to come to the table to extend these subsidies and lower healthcare costs”.
Norcross has represented New Jersey’s 1st District since replacing Rob Andrews in 2014. Prior to his time in Congress, he served both in the New Jersey General Assembly and Senate between 2010 and 2014. Born and residing in Camden, New Jersey, Norcross is currently 64 years old.
