U.S. Congressman Donald Norcross, who represents New Jersey’s 1st district, recently used his social media platform to highlight local achievements, address concerns about federal programs for seniors, and promote civic engagement among students.
On March 20, 2026, Norcross congratulated a local college sports team: “Big congratulations to @RowanAthletics Men’s Indoor Track Team for bringing the @NCAADIII National Championship back to South Jersey. Hard work and dedication pay off!”
Later that day, he thanked constituents who participated in a telephone town hall focused on senior issues and criticized recent federal policy decisions: “Thanks to everyone who came to my Seniors Telephone Town Hall this afternoon! Trump has been relentlessly attacking Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security, and our seniors are paying the price. Cuts to healthcare and Social Security check delays don’t make anyone’s life easier.”
On March 21, 2026, Norcross encouraged youth participation in elections through an educational initiative: “Voting is an important part of our democracy, and what better way to participate than by wearing an ‘I Voted’ sticker after you vote? Students in grades 5 through 8 can participate in the “I Voted” sticker contest, and students in grades 9 through 12 can participate in the “I”
Norcross has represented New Jersey’s 1st District in Congress since replacing Rob Andrews in 2014. Before his tenure in Congress began that year, he served briefly in the New Jersey General Assembly before joining the state Senate from 2010 to 2014. Born in Camden in 1958 and currently residing there at age 64, Norcross remains active both locally and nationally as a legislator.
