Congressman Donald Norcross, who has represented New Jersey’s 1st district since 2014, recently shared a series of tweets on various topics ranging from labor rights to educational initiatives and federal funding issues. Born in Camden, New Jersey, Norcross succeeded Rob Andrews in Congress and has been actively engaging with his constituents through social media.

On July 5, 2025, Congressman Norcross commemorated the 90th anniversary of the National Labor Relations Act by highlighting its significance in granting workers the right to organize and bargain collectively. He emphasized the need for further legislative action by stating, “It is time to pass the #PROAct so workers everywhere can access the rights.”

Later that day, he announced an opportunity for young tech enthusiasts in South Jersey. In his tweet, he invited middle and high school students to participate in the “2025 Congressional App Challenge,” encouraging them to register before the October deadline.

On July 6, 2025, Congressman Norcross expressed concern over a decision by former President Trump regarding education funding. He criticized Trump’s action of freezing $143 million intended for New Jersey schools and stressed its negative impact on educational programs. He stated that such actions “defund our kids’ futures” and called for leadership that supports public education rather than undermining it.

As a long-standing representative with deep roots in Camden, Congressman Norcross continues to advocate for policies that support labor rights and educational opportunities while voicing opposition against decisions perceived as detrimental to public welfare.
