Congressman Donald Norcross, who represents New Jersey’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared updates on his legislative efforts and community engagement through a series of posts on social media.
On March 17, 2026, Norcross highlighted recent funding for education and innovation in South Jersey. He stated, “We have to make smart investments that keep South Jersey on the map as a leader in education and innovation. That’s why I worked hard to secure $1.9 million for @RowanUniversity and Gloucester County. Our students are the future, and we’ve got to make sure they’re prepared for”.
The following day, March 18, Norcross reflected on his ongoing engagement with constituents by referencing his participation in local forums. He wrote, “Last week, I attended my 118th town hall since coming to Congress at the Collingswood community center to talk about the issues that are top of mind for South Jersey residents. From the need to abolish Trump’s ICE to the high cost of living and election integrity, we discussed it”.
Later that same day, Norcross addressed law enforcement accountability regarding immigration enforcement agencies. He posted, “Glad to see my Trust Through Transparency Act is a part of the conversation, but more needs to be done to hold Trump’s reckless ICE agents accountable.
All ICE agents must be required BY LAW to wear body cameras, and my bill would make that a reality.”
Norcross has represented New Jersey’s 1st District since 2014 after succeeding Rob Andrews. Before serving in Congress, he was a member of both the New Jersey General Assembly and Senate between 2010 and 2014. Born in Camden in 1958 and currently residing there at age 64, Norcross continues his legislative focus on education funding and oversight of federal agencies.
