Norcross, who has been a U.S. Representative for New Jersey’s 1st District since 2014, used these platforms to discuss matters he believes are critical to his constituents. The tweets highlight his viewpoints on the Trump Administration’s policy directions and acknowledge a cultural celebration.
In a tweet published on April 18, Norcross addressed threats to Social Security and Medicare, emphasizing that these are earned benefits. He stated, “Social Security and Medicare are programs you paid into and earned. The billionaires running the Trump Administration, like Elon Musk and Howard Lutnick, are threatening to take away your benefits and livelihood. These programs may not mean much to them, but for the rest of”.
The following day, on April 19, Norcross critiqued actions that he believes are to the detriment of Medicaid and the Affordable Care Act. He remarked, “While the Trump Admin causes chaos and distractions, Congressional Republicans are gutting Medicaid and attacking the Affordable Care Act so they can give trillions in tax breaks to billionaires and big corporations. This is Project 2025 in action.”
