In recent tweets, Congressman Donald Norcross has expressed concerns over proposed policy changes affecting key social programs. Norcross, who has been a U.S. Representative for New Jersey’s 1st District since 2014, used these platforms to discuss matters he believes are critical to his constituents. The tweets highlight his viewpoints on the Trump Administration’s policy directions and acknowledge a cultural celebration.

In a tweet published on April 18, Norcross addressed threats to Social Security and Medicare, emphasizing that these are earned benefits. He stated, “Social Security and Medicare are programs you paid into and earned. The billionaires running the Trump Administration, like Elon Musk and Howard Lutnick, are threatening to take away your benefits and livelihood. These programs may not mean much to them, but for the rest of”.

The following day, on April 19, Norcross critiqued actions that he believes are to the detriment of Medicaid and the Affordable Care Act. He remarked, “While the Trump Admin causes chaos and distractions, Congressional Republicans are gutting Medicaid and attacking the Affordable Care Act so they can give trillions in tax breaks to billionaires and big corporations. This is Project 2025 in action.”

Concluding his series of tweets, Norcross on April 20 extended holiday greetings with, “Happy Easter to all celebrating today!”

Donald Norcross, now aged 64, was born in Camden, New Jersey, and continues to reside there as he represents the local district in Congress. Prior to his tenure in the U.S. Congress, he served in the New Jersey General Assembly and the New Jersey Senate.
