Congressman Donald Norcross, representing New Jersey’s 1st district since 2014, recently shared his views on various issues through a series of tweets. Born in Camden, New Jersey in 1958, Norcross has a history of public service, including time in the New Jersey General Assembly and Senate.

On May 9, 2025, Congressman Norcross expressed his concerns regarding proposed changes to the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) under RFK Jr.’s leadership. He stated: “I’ve lost coworkers on the job site. I know what it means when safety is treated like an option. Gutting NIOSH under RFK Jr. is a betrayal to every worker who risks their life for a paycheck. Cutting firefighter health, miner safety, and PPE vetting will cost lives.”

Later that day, Norcross addressed workers’ rights and tax policies with another tweet advocating for legislative change. He wrote: “Every worker deserves a free and fair choice to join or form a union, and it’s time that our tax code reflects that. The No Tax Breaks for Union Busting Act will end corporate handouts for union-busting campaigns, make our tax code fairer, and level the playing field for workers.”

On May 10, 2025, Norcross criticized actions taken by ICE agents at the Delaney facility under the Trump Administration. He remarked: “The actions by the Trump Administration’s ICE agents at the Delaney facility were completely unacceptable. This unfortunately follows a very concerning pattern from around the country where members of Congress are being blocked from performing their constitutional duty of”

Norcross continues to be an active voice on labor rights and government accountability as he serves in Congress.
