Congressman Donald Norcross, who represents New Jersey’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, recently posted a series of statements on his social media account criticizing recent immigration and voting legislation associated with former President Donald Trump and Congressional Republicans.

On February 25, 2026, Norcross wrote: “ICE received $75 billion from the Big Ugly Law. Trump’s ICE doesn’t need another blank check.”

Minutes later, he addressed voting rights concerns in another post: “The so-called SAVE America Act would make it far more difficult for U.S. citizens to vote. 21 million Americans don’t have easy access to the documents this bill would require when registering to vote. Trump and Congressional Republicans want to do everything they can to make it”

He followed up with a further critique regarding election integrity: “If the 2020 election has taught us anything, it is that Trump has a big problem with free and fair elections. Don’t let his so-called SAVE America Act fool you. He just wants to make it far harder for U.S. citizens to vote.”

Donald Norcross has represented New Jersey’s 1st District in Congress since replacing Rob Andrews in 2014 and previously served in both the New Jersey General Assembly and Senate between 2010 and 2014. Born in Camden, New Jersey in 1958, Norcross continues to reside there at age 64.
