Congressman Donald Norcross, representing New Jersey’s 1st district, shared a series of tweets on April 2, 2025, addressing concerns on various issues. Norcross, a U.S. Representative since 2014, expressed his stance on postal service privatization, historic political milestones, and potential economic impacts of tariffs.

In a tweet posted on April 2, 2025, Norcross criticized former President Donald Trump and entrepreneur Elon Musk’s intentions to privatize the United States Postal Service. He stated, “Trump and Musk want to privatize the @uspostalservice, taking away good jobs and vital services from hardworking Americans. I join Collingswood residents, @lettercarriers, and local leaders to say, hands off our post office!”.

The subsequent tweet, also from April 2, 2025, commemorated Jeannette Rankin, the first woman to be sworn into Congress. Norcross wrote, “One hundred and eight years ago, Jeannette Rankin became the first woman sworn into Congress. Her leadership in Congress included introducing legislation that eventually became the 19th Amendment, granting women the right to vote.”.

Later, Norcross commented on economic policy. In a brief statement posted the same day, he addressed tariffs on imported goods instituted during Trump’s administration. The congressman shared, “My statement on President Trump’s tariffs on all imported goods.”.
