Donald Norcross announces grant for Camden County College and condemns political violence

Congressman Donald Norcross, who represents New Jersey’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of updates on September 29 and 30, 2025, addressing local education initiatives and condemning political violence.

On September 29, Norcross announced new funding for Camden County College. He wrote, “Excited to share that @camdencc received $475K to train the next generation of auto technicians in South Jersey. With NJ roads expected to see more than 2M electric vehicles by 2035, Camden County College will lead the way in ensuring our students are ready to work on the”. In a separate post the same day, he shared a link for further reading: “@camdencc Read more: https://t.co/nIEbdoeu21”.

The following day, Norcross addressed issues of political violence. On September 30, he stated, “Political violence is never acceptable. In a democracy, disagreements should be resolved through debate, compromise, and at the ballot box, not violence. I strongly condemn this threat made toward Congresswoman Jayapal. https://t.co/RPeQhvx1j7”.

Norcross has represented New Jersey’s 1st congressional district since 2014 after succeeding Rob Andrews. Before his tenure in Congress, he served in both the New Jersey General Assembly and Senate between 2010 and 2014. Born in Camden in 1958, Norcross continues to reside there while serving his constituents.
