U.S. Congressman Donald Norcross, who represents New Jersey’s 1st district, has recently posted a series of statements on social media addressing workforce issues, government funding, and public safety.

On October 14, 2025, Norcross emphasized the importance of essential workers, stating, “America needs a workforce that will keep our skies safe, our food and water clean, and our medicines tested and trusted. We need dedicated employees to distribute Social Security checks and VA benefits. Every worker who serves this country deserves to get paid—period.”

The following day, on October 15, 2025, Norcross commented on the ongoing government shutdown, writing, “I’m in Washington working with my @HouseDemocrats colleagues to reopen the open the government while Republicans are on their fourth week of vacation. We need to pass a budget keeps healthcare affordable and accessible.”

Later that same day, Norcross addressed security concerns in light of upcoming national events, stating, “With major events like the World Cup and America’s 250th anniversary ahead, now is the time to strengthen our security, not weaken it. We’re calling on @SecNoem to restore full funding and stand with the people who keep our state safe.”

Norcross has served in Congress since 2014, after replacing Rob Andrews, and previously held positions in both the New Jersey General Assembly and Senate. He was born in Camden, New Jersey, in 1958, and continues to reside there.
