Congressman Donald Norcross, who represents New Jersey’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, addressed several topics on his Twitter account on February 24, 2026.

In a post marking the fourth anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Norcross stated: “Four years into Russia’s war against Ukraine, the stakes remain clear. Ukraine is defending its people, its democracy, and its right to exist. I will continue to stand with Ukraine and our allies, because our security at home is strengthened when we defend freedom abroad.” (February 24, 2026)

Later that day, in recognition of Black History Month, Norcross highlighted a local advocate from South Jersey: “This #BlackHistoryMonth we honor South Jersey’s Ethel Lawrence who advocated for affordable housing and the end of discriminatory zoning laws. Her determination helped open doors for countless families as the fight for fair and affordable housing continues.” (February 24, 2026)

In another tweet posted in the evening, Norcross criticized former President Donald Trump’s policies regarding working families: “Instead of lowering costs for working families, Trump cut food assistance, attacked healthcare, and rolled back worker protections. Families deserve relief, not chaos and confusion. #DumpTrump” (February 24, 2026)

Norcross has served in Congress since replacing Rob Andrews in 2014 and previously held positions in both the New Jersey General Assembly and Senate. Born in Camden in 1958 and currently residing there at age 64, he continues to represent his district while addressing national and local issues.
