Congressman Donald Norcross, who represents New Jersey’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, addressed issues ranging from Social Security to workplace safety and community engagement in a series of posts on August 1, 2025.

In his first post, Norcross criticized former President Trump’s stance on Social Security. On August 1, he wrote: “Trump thinks he can fool working Americans into giving up their hard-earned Social Security. Let me be clear: I’m not falling for it. Our seniors paid into the system their whole lives. We owe them more than broken promises.”

Later that day, Norcross highlighted workplace safety and business accountability. He stated: “Businesses can keep workers safe and earn a profit, but that’s only possible with more transparency and accountability. My Warehouse Worker Protection Act takes necessary steps to ensure everyone can come home from work safely.” This message references legislative efforts aimed at improving conditions for warehouse employees.

In a third post on August 1, Norcross thanked participants of his annual community event: “Thank you to everyone who attended my 8th annual Constituent Service Fair! It was great to bring so many of our community resources together to help out our neighbors. If you couldn’t make it, reach out to my office at 856-427-7000, and we can point you in the right direction for”

Norcross has served as the representative for New Jersey’s 1st district since replacing Rob Andrews in 2014. Prior to his tenure in Congress, he served in both the New Jersey General Assembly and Senate between 2010 and 2014. Born in Camden in 1958, Norcross continues to reside there while representing his constituents.
