Congressman Donald Norcross, who represents New Jersey’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, recently used his social media platform to address issues ranging from public safety and labor priorities to community welfare during severe weather.
On January 23, 2026, Norcross posted about the benefits of body cameras for law enforcement officers in New Jersey. He wrote, “Body cameras protect safety and accountability for everyone. In New Jersey, we’ve seen real success with state troopers wearing body cameras, and many officers don’t like working without them. Transparency and trust make everyone safer.”
Later that day, Norcross highlighted a meeting focused on labor concerns. In a tweet posted at 21:22 UTC, he stated, “Great @Labor_Caucus meeting this week with @NALC_National President @BrianRenfroe19. We talked about the priorities of letter carriers and how Congress can better support the workers who keep our communities connected every day.”
Addressing public safety amid an approaching storm, Norcross urged residents to exercise caution and use available resources. At 22:29 UTC on January 23, he tweeted, “As we prepare for the storm this weekend, please be safe and look out for one another. Code Blue warming centers are open across New Jersey. Call 2-1-1 if you or someone you know needs help.”
Norcross has served as a member of Congress since 2014 after succeeding Rob Andrews. Prior to his tenure in Congress, he was a member of both the New Jersey General Assembly and Senate between 2010 and 2014. Born in Camden in 1958, Norcross continues to reside there while representing his district.
