Congressman Donald Norcross, who represents New Jersey’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, recently addressed several national and international issues through a series of posts on his official social media account.
On April 3, 2026, Norcross criticized proposed federal budget cuts to NASA following the Artemis II mission launch. He stated, “Just days after the incredible launch of the Artemis II mission to the moon, the White House continues its assault on science by proposing massive cuts to NASA. I refuse to believe that we have the money to give billionaires tax breaks, but not to explore the cosmos.”
The next day, April 4, 2026, he commemorated the anniversary of NATO’s founding and emphasized ongoing support for allied partnerships. In his post he wrote, “77 years ago today, the United States and 11 of our allies signed the North Atlantic Treaty, founding @NATO. Now more than ever, we need to stand with our Allies and strengthen our partnerships to secure lasting peace and security. As a member of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly,”
On April 5, 2026, Norcross shared a holiday greeting: “Wishing a Happy Easter Sunday to all who celebrate!”
Norcross has served in Congress since replacing Rob Andrews in 2014 and previously held positions in both chambers of New Jersey’s state legislature. Born in Camden in 1958 and currently residing there at age 64, Norcross is also a member of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly.
