Congressman Donald Norcross, representing New Jersey’s 1st district since 2014, has recently addressed critical issues through his social media platform. The congressman shared his concerns regarding healthcare access, congressional authority, and veterans’ rights.

On June 16, 2025, Norcross highlighted the plight of patients reliant on Medicaid. He referenced a local nurse named Johanna who “sees the fear in her patients’ eyes,” emphasizing that for many individuals, Medicaid is their sole means to afford care. Norcross warned that “with Republican cuts, these patients won’t just lose coverage; they’ll lose access to life-saving treatment.” “Johanna, a local nurse…”

Later the same day, Norcross commented on an incident involving a U.S. senator facing assault for asking questions in the line of duty. He described this as “an unacceptable breach of congressional authority” and expressed concern that it “threatens the separation of powers and sets a dangerous precedent.” “No one should fear assault…”

On June 17, 2025, Norcross turned his attention to veterans’ healthcare. He criticized the current state of affairs as “disgraceful,” arguing that veterans who have served honorably deserve quality healthcare access. He noted that when veterans risked their lives for Americans’ safety, they did so without regard to political affiliations or personal circumstances. “This is disgraceful…”

Donald Norcross has been serving in Congress since succeeding Rob Andrews in 2014 and previously held positions in both the New Jersey General Assembly and Senate.
