U.S. Congressman Donald Norcross, who represents New Jersey’s 1st district and resides in Camden, recently used his social media platform to address issues ranging from labor rights to public safety and foreign policy.

On March 27, 2026, Norcross highlighted his ongoing engagement with organized labor, stating: “It’s always great to see my friends in labor, and yesterday I met with @nalc_national Branches 908 and 540 to talk about how we can continue to strengthen collective bargaining rights for our nation’s letter carriers. Every day, these hardworking men and women keep our https://t.co/2eLrKkm6XE”.

Later that same day, Norcross referenced a milestone in Camden’s recent history: “For the first time in fifty years, the City of Camden experienced zero homicides during both the summer and winter months. What was once considered the most dangerous city in America has now become a model for what can be accomplished when law enforcement works hand in hand with” (March 27, 2026).

Addressing foreign policy concerns on March 27, 2026, Norcross called for more transparency regarding U.S. military action abroad: “Americans deserve clarity and transparency on why we started a war with Iran, what we’re doing now, and what our end goals are. Since this war started 27 days ago, we’ve gotten none of that. I’m standing with @RepAdamSmith and my fellow @HASCDemocrats to demand a public committee”.

Norcross has served as a member of Congress since replacing Rob Andrews in 2014. Before his tenure in Congress began, he served briefly in the New Jersey General Assembly and then the New Jersey Senate between 2010 and 2014. Born in Camden in 1958, Norcross remains an active figure within his hometown community.
