Congressman Donald Norcross, representing New Jersey’s 1st district since 2014, has been vocal on social media about various pressing issues. On May 17, 2025, he addressed the importance of standing against discrimination. “Everyone should have the freedom to be their true self. Today is International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia. On this and all other days, we must stand up to hate and discrimination of any kind, including against our neighbors in the LGBTQ community.”

On May 18, 2025, Congressman Norcross criticized recent actions by prominent figures affecting civil servants. He stated that “Our civil servants work to ensure our food is safe to eat, our air is safe to breathe, and our sky is safe to fly. Trump and Musk are putting politics over the American people by firing these workers with complete disregard for the impact it will have on all our lives.”

Later that day, he reflected on a significant milestone in early childhood education programs while expressing concern over potential cuts. “60 years ago today, the Head Start program was created to provide early childhood education, health, nutrition, and parent involvement services to low-income children and families. Trump and Republicans in Congress are cutting Head Start programs.”

Donald Norcross has served in Congress since replacing Rob Andrews in 2014 after serving in both the New Jersey General Assembly and Senate.
