Congressman Donald Norcross, who has been representing New Jersey’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress since 2014, recently addressed several pressing issues through a series of tweets. The tweets focus on youth career opportunities, service academy information sessions, and healthcare legislation.

On June 3, 2025, Congressman Norcross expressed his opposition to pausing the Job Corps program. He stated, “We should be making it easier, not harder, for young people to build careers and futures that work for them. Pausing the Job Corps is the wrong move. I’ll continue to fight for programs that open doors, not close them.”

The following day, June 4, 2025, he shared his appreciation for students attending a recent Service Academy Information Session. He noted the enthusiasm among attendees by tweeting: “Great to see so many students turn out for our Service Academy Info Session last week. Their interest in serving our country and becoming the next generation of leaders is truly inspiring.” He also provided a link for those who missed the session to find more information.

Later on June 4th, Norcross criticized former President Trump’s healthcare plan with strong language against its potential impact. He tweeted: “There’s nothing beautiful about Trump’s plan to rip healthcare away from millions of Americans.” Norcross pointed out that this bill could result in an additional ten million Americans losing their health insurance.

Donald Norcross was born in Camden, New Jersey in 1958 and continues to reside there today.
