Congressman Donald Norcross, who represents New Jersey’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, addressed several political and historical issues in a series of posts on February 20, 2026.
In one post, Norcross thanked participants of his recent Telephone Town Hall, stating: “Thank you to everyone who joined my Telephone Town Hall! We talked about Trump’s ICE, the Republican’s SAVE Act, and attacks on healthcare. Speaking with constituents is the most important part of my job, that’s why I’m honored to have held 116 town halls.” (posted on February 20, 2026).
Later that day, Norcross commented on immigration enforcement and criticized former President Donald Trump and South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem: “Donald Trump said that he would deport violent criminals and felons, but instead ICE is using taxpayer dollars to terrorize our children and murder Americans on our streets. Kristi Noem must be impeached. Enough is enough.” (posted on February 20, 2026).
He also reflected on civil rights history by marking an anniversary related to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Rosa Parks, and others involved in the Montgomery Bus Boycott: “On this day in history, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Rosa Parks, and other Montgomery Bus Boycott participants were indicted for peacefully demanding equal treatment. The goal of this indictment was to intimidate these brave civil rights leaders into backing down. But it didn’t” (posted on February 20, 2026).
Norcross has represented New Jersey’s 1st District since replacing Rob Andrews in Congress in 2014. He previously served in both the New Jersey General Assembly and Senate before joining Congress. Born in Camden in 1958, Norcross continues to reside there while serving his constituents.
