Congressman Donald Norcross, who represents New Jersey’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of messages on social media addressing healthcare policy, political violence, and constituent services.

On January 8, 2026, Norcross announced his intention to vote in favor of restoring tax credits under the Affordable Care Act. In his post, he stated: “Today I’m voting to restore the Affordable Care Act tax credits, something that should have been done months ago, and lower healthcare costs for working families. Premiums are already too high and families are struggling to make ends meet. Democrats are united. Now it’s on https://t.co/qpF9Mrjt9v”.

Later that same day, Norcross reflected on the anniversary of an assassination attempt against former Congresswoman Gabby Giffords. He wrote: “Political violence is never acceptable.

Today marks 15 years since a gunman tried to assassinate former Congresswoman @GabbyGiffords in Tucson. Six people were killed and 19 were shot. We owe it to them to stand up for peace, decency, and democracy.”

On January 9, 2026, Norcross highlighted constituent services offered by his office regarding passport assistance: “Travel plans coming up? My office can help with passport questions, delays, and status updates. Give us a call at (856) 427-7000. We’re here to make sure you get the help you need. https://t.co/Pi9jHGr3DW”

Norcross has served as the representative for New Jersey’s 1st district since replacing Rob Andrews in 2014 and previously held positions in both the New Jersey General Assembly and Senate from 2010 through 2014. Born in Camden in 1958, Norcross continues to reside there while serving his constituents.
