Congressman Donald Norcross, representing New Jersey’s 1st District since 2014, has been active on social media discussing key issues surrounding economic equity and legislation affecting working American families. As a long-serving member of the U.S. Congress who succeeded Rob Andrews and previously served in the New Jersey General Assembly and Senate, Norcross voiced his opinions on various topics.

In a social media post dated April 11, 2025, Congressman Norcross criticized the GOP’s recent actions, writing, “Republicans chose the 1 percent over the 99 percent, the ultra-rich over the middle class, and luxury for the few over life for the many. Today, they started the process of starving our seniors, veterans, and hard-working families of their earned benefits to give tax cuts to the”.

On the same day, Norcross highlighted what he perceives as disregard from prominent figures, mentioning, “President Trump and Elon Musk have never had to worry about putting food on the table or affording their medical bills, so it’s no wonder they don’t care about taking these programs away from you.” He urged followers to read his analysis on how the Republicans’ budget plan could affect seniors.

Later that day, Norcross made a case for updating the federal minimum wage, stating, “16 years since the last federal minimum wage is too many. In a time of rapidly increasing prices, we must pass the long-overdue Raise the Wage Act of 2025 to ensure wages match the needs of working families now and in the future. America’s workers deserve a fair day’s pay for a”.
