Congressman Donald Norcross, who represents New Jersey’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of statements on social media addressing issues ranging from federal worker firings to domestic violence awareness.

On October 16, 2025, Norcross wrote, “Donald Trump is hurting everyday Americans by illegally firing thousands of federal workers. It’s time for Republicans to come back to Washington and negotiate a real budget that lowers healthcare costs and reopens the government. Enough is enough.”

Later that same day, he highlighted efforts to raise awareness about domestic violence: “October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. I’m wearing purple to honor survivors and raise awareness. No one should ever feel unsafe in their own home. If you or someone you love needs help, call the 24-hour National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-SAFE (7233).”

On October 17, Norcross referenced a recent legal development involving the previous administration: “This week’s court ruling proved what we’ve said all along: the Trump administration’s actions are illegal. I stand with the hard-working public servants and the unions who represent them.”

Norcross has served in Congress since 2014 after succeeding Rob Andrews. He previously held seats in both the New Jersey General Assembly and State Senate between 2010 and 2014. Born in Camden, New Jersey in 1958, Norcross continues to reside there while representing his constituents.
