Congressman Donald Norcross, who represents New Jersey’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of statements on his social media account addressing national economic concerns, personal identity, and a historic anniversary.

On August 3, 2025, Norcross criticized Republican policies and former President Trump regarding rising living costs. He stated, “Families are being crushed by rising prices. So what are Trump and the GOP doing? Raising your food, health care, and utility costs while adding a ballroom to the White House. You can’t make this up.”

Later that day, Norcross commented on sharing his name with others. He wrote on August 3: “It isn’t always easy sharing your name with other people, so I’m going to start posting more reminders about the many differences between us. Here’s a few so you don’t mix us up. – The Good Donald”

On August 4, he marked the anniversary of the United States Coast Guard’s founding. Norcross said: “235 years ago today the United States Coast Guard was founded. We honor the servicemen and women who have committed themselves to keeping our shores safe. Their dedication and courage make our community and nation a better place.”

Norcross has represented New Jersey’s 1st district since replacing Rob Andrews in 2014 and previously served in both chambers of the New Jersey Legislature from 2010 to 2014. Born in Camden in 1958, he continues to reside there while serving as a member of Congress.
