Congressman Donald Norcross, who represents New Jersey’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, recently addressed a range of policy issues on his social media account, focusing on clean energy investments, federal assistance programs, and American manufacturing.

On August 8, 2025, Norcross posted: “Cutting clean energy investments increases energy costs and takes away good jobs from South Jersey. Our kids and grandkids deserve better.”

Later that same day, he commented on actions taken by former President Trump: “In 200 days, Trump has cut food assistance for our seniors, veterans, and children, taken healthcare away from 17 million Americans, and stripped federal workers of their collective bargaining rights. American families deserve better.”

On August 9, 2025, Norcross highlighted the anniversary of a major legislative achievement: “Three years ago, the CHIPS and Science Act became law, sparking investments in American manufacturing, innovation, and good-paying jobs. This law is key to strengthening research, supply chains, and keeping the U.S. competitive on the world stage. I’m standing strong to defend it”.

Norcross has served as a member of Congress since 2014 after succeeding Rob Andrews. He previously held positions in both the New Jersey General Assembly and Senate between 2010 and 2014. Born in Camden in 1958 and currently residing there at age 64, Norcross has consistently focused his legislative efforts on labor issues and economic development.
