Congressman Donald Norcross, who represents New Jersey’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, recently addressed several issues on his social media account, including concerns about the Trump Administration’s use of a local military base, privacy violations related to Medicaid enrollees’ data, and an upcoming constituent services event.
On July 18, 2025, Norcross wrote: “My NJ Dem colleagues and I are fighting back against the Trump Administration’s use of Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst as a domestic political tool.”
The following day, he commented on privacy concerns regarding Medicaid: “When people apply for Medicaid, they are signing up for healthcare access, not to sign away their private data. Quietly sharing the personal data of 79 million enrollees is a betrayal of public trust and a dangerous violation of privacy.” This statement comes amid ongoing national debates over health data security.
On July 20, Norcross announced an event for constituents: “Tomorrow, I’m hosting my 8th Annual Constituent Services Fair at Camden County College in Blackwood from 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM. We’ll have over 100 local, state, and federal resources. Hope to see you there! Sign up here: https://t.co/5CcjfRZHiN https://t.co/TXgMfCiKC7”
Norcross has served in Congress since replacing Rob Andrews in 2014 and previously held positions in both the New Jersey General Assembly and Senate. Born in Camden in 1958 and currently residing there at age 64, he continues to represent his home district while addressing issues relevant to his constituents.
