Congressman Donald Norcross, who represents New Jersey’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, addressed a range of personal and national issues in a series of posts on his Twitter account between December 8 and December 9, 2025.

On December 8, Norcross publicly expressed support for Congressman Andy Ogles and families affected by Alzheimer’s disease, stating: “Thinking of you and your family, Andy. Alzheimer’s is a heavy journey that so many families know too well. Your openness helps others who are quietly carrying the same weight feel less alone.”

Later that day, Norcross commented on federal workforce policies during government shutdowns. He wrote: “Our federal workers keep this country running. Firing public health workers during a government shutdown is wrong and puts Americans at risk. I’m glad to see these workers reinstated, but they should never have been fired in the first place.”

On December 9, after attending Senator Andy Kim’s maiden speech on the Senate Floor, Norcross shared his reflections: “Just left the Senate Floor after hearing @SenatorAndyKim’s maiden speech. It takes real courage to speak openly about your family’s health challenges. His story of becoming a caregiver resonates with so many Americans. His voice will help these families feel seen.”

Donald Norcross has represented New Jersey’s 1st District in Congress since 2014, succeeding Rob Andrews after previously serving in both the New Jersey General Assembly and Senate. Born in Camden, New Jersey in 1958, he continues to reside there while serving as an active member of Congress.
