Congressman Donald Norcross, representing New Jersey’s 1st district, shared several messages on social media, focusing on community festivals, social programs, and wage equality. Serving in Congress since 2014, Norcross took to Twitter to address these significant issues.

On April 14, 2025, Norcross expressed his well-wishes by “Wishing a happy Vaisakhi to members of our Sikh community in South Jersey and beyond!”, recognizing the Sikh community and their celebrations in the region.

Later that day, Norcross highlighted concerns regarding social programs in a tweet. He asserted, “Social Security and Medicare are programs you paid into and earned. The billionaires running the Trump Administration, like Elon Musk and Howard Lutnick, are threatening to take away your benefits and livelihood. These programs may not mean much to them, but for the rest of us…” signaling apprehension about potential threats to essential public services.

The following day, on April 15, 2025, Norcross marked an important legislative milestone by commemorating the passage of the Paycheck Fairness Act. He shared, “Four years ago today, the House passed the Paycheck Fairness Act to address wage discrimination based on gender. But we still have work to do. As a member of @Labor_Caucus, I’m fighting to ensure everyone gets a fair day’s pay for a hard day’s work.” The Congressman reiterated his commitment to fostering equitable labor policies.

Norcross, 64, resides in Camden, New Jersey, his place of birth. He has served his district in Congress since 2014 and formerly held positions in the New Jersey General Assembly and Senate.
