Congressman Donald Norcross delivered $822,000 in Community Project Funding to the Magnolia Fire Company on March 13 to help purchase a new fire engine. Commissioner Jonathan Young joined Norcross during the announcement and highlighted the importance of this funding for local emergency services.
The funding aims to address challenges faced by volunteer fire departments in acquiring costly equipment. “Purchasing new fire apparatus can be cost-prohibitive, especially for volunteer departments like Magnolia Fire Company,” said Commissioner Jonathan Young, liaison to the Camden County Department of Safety. “The Board of Commissioners is grateful for Congressman Norcross’ support of our first responders, and this funding will ensure our firefighters have the equipment they need to protect their community.”
