Congressman Donald Norcross, who has represented New Jersey’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress since 2014, addressed several issues in a series of posts on December 19, 2025.
On the anniversary of a landmark civil rights event, Norcross wrote: “On this day in 1956, the Montgomery Bus Boycott came to an end after more than a year of courageous, nonviolent protests. What a powerful reminder that collective action and courage can change the course of history.” (December 19, 2025).
Later that day, Norcross commented on healthcare policy as legislative activity wound down for the year. He posted: “As the year comes to a close, families need certainty. Allowing the ACA tax credits to expire would mean higher premiums and less access to care. It is a shame that Republicans canceled votes today instead of working to solve this crisis.” (December 19, 2025).
He also marked another recent historical milestone with a message about national security: “Six years ago today, the @USSpaceForce was created, strengthening our nation’s defense and space capabilities. Today, we recognize the servicemembers working to protect our national security in space.” (December 19, 2025).
Norcross was born in Camden, New Jersey in 1958 and continues to reside there at age 64. Before joining Congress in 2014 following Rob Andrews’ departure from office, he served in both chambers of New Jersey’s state legislature from 2010 until his election to Congress.
