Congressman Donald Norcross, who represents New Jersey’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, marked several significant historical events and highlighted constituent services in a series of posts on his official X account.
On December 6, 2025, Norcross reflected on the anniversary of the abolition of slavery in the United States. He posted, “On this day in 1865, the 13th Amendment ended slavery in the United States. We remember the millions who suffered under this brutal system and the generations who fought for freedom. We must never allow this chapter of our history to be ignored or forgotten.”
The following day, December 7, 2025, he acknowledged another major date in American history by honoring those affected by Pearl Harbor. In his post he stated, “December 7, 1941 remains one of the darkest days in our history. Today we remember the Americans who lost their lives at Pearl Harbor and honor the veterans and families forever changed by that day. We will never forget their sacrifice or the courage of those who stepped forward”.
On December 8, 2025, Norcross used his platform to inform constituents about assistance available through his office regarding federal agencies. He wrote: “Did you know that my office can help you navigate federal agencies? I was able to help Rotary International District 7505 with their taxpayer identification number. Reach out to my office at 856-427-7000 or visit my website at https://t.co/dHffRkg8Of to learn more.”
Norcross has served as a member of Congress since replacing Rob Andrews in 2014 and has represented New Jersey’s 1st district continuously since then. Prior to joining Congress, he served briefly in both chambers of New Jersey’s legislature between 2010 and 2014.
Born in Camden, New Jersey in 1958, Norcross is currently age 64 and continues to reside there while serving his district.
