U.S. Congressman Donald Norcross, who represents New Jersey’s 1st district, recently highlighted his participation in local government events and labor advocacy, as well as his support for Federal Reserve independence, through a series of posts on social media.
On January 12, 2026, Norcross posted about attending swearing-in ceremonies in South Jersey: “In South Jersey, we’re lucky to have so many dedicated public servants. My team and I were proud to attend swearing-in ceremonies across the district and thank local leaders for their continued service.”
Later that day, he commented on Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell’s leadership: “Chair Powell is doing his job by standing firm against political pressure. It’s what leadership looks like, and why the Fed’s independence matters. An independent Federal Reserve is critical to a strong, stable economy.”
On January 13, 2026, Norcross discussed a meeting with Dean Warsh of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW): “Great meeting today with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Government Affairs Director, Dean Warsh. As a proud IBEW member, it’s always good to talk about how we can stand up for workers by advancing strong, pro-labor policies such as the Faster Labor Contracts.”
Norcross has served in Congress since 2014 after replacing Rob Andrews and previously held positions in both the New Jersey General Assembly and Senate from 2010 to 2014. Born in Camden in 1958 and currently residing there at age 64, Norcross continues to represent constituents in South Jersey.
