Congressman Donald Norcross, representing New Jersey’s 1st district since 2014, has been actively engaging with his constituents through social media. His recent posts reflect his ongoing commitment to public service and personal reflections.
On May 11, Congressman Norcross shared a message regarding the aftermath of a tragic event. He stated, “After the horrific October 7th attack, I worked to tell the hostages’ stories. In 2024, I brought Edan’s mother, Yael Alexander, as my guest to the State of the Union, to remind Americans that we can’t rest until every hostage is released. One day as a hostage is too many.” This statement underscores his dedication to raising awareness about hostages and advocating for their release.
On Mother’s Day, May 12, Norcross expressed gratitude towards mothers with a heartfelt message: “Happy Mother’s Day! Thank you to all of the hardworking moms who guide and inspire us. I’m also thinking about my wonderful mom & missing her extra today.” This post highlights both appreciation for mothers’ roles in society and personal reflection on family.
Later that same day during National Police Week, Norcross recognized law enforcement officers’ contributions by tweeting: “During National Police Week, we thank police officers across our community and country for what they do to keep us safe. Public safety remains one of my top priorities.” He emphasized his commitment to improving public safety in South Jersey through increased funding and resources.
Donald Norcross was born in Camden, New Jersey in 1958 and continues to reside there at age 64. Before serving in Congress since 2014 after replacing Rob Andrews, he was part of the New Jersey General Assembly from 2010 and later served on the New Jersey Senate until his congressional appointment.
