U.S. Congressman Donald Norcross, who represents New Jersey’s 1st district, posted several messages on February 23, 2026, addressing both political and sports events.
On the afternoon of February 23, Norcross commented on recent protests and called for action against former President Donald Trump and South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem. In his post he wrote: “Last week, I attended the Lindenwold ICE Out protest to fight back against Trump’s ICE. It’s time to impeach Kristi Noem and Donald Trump. #DumpTrump https://t.co/Z7wS4k7vPZ” (posted at 17:26 UTC).
Later that day, Norcross congratulated national athletes following Olympic victories: “Congratulations to the U.S. Men’s and Women’s Hockey Teams on their incredible gold medal victories! It was a proud and unforgettable moment for our nation.” (posted at 18:34 UTC). In another message posted simultaneously, he reflected on a local connection to the Olympic win: “I was touched yesterday by the heartfelt tribute to South Jersey’s own “Johnny Hockey” after Team USA captured Olympic gold in a thrilling overtime victory. The Gaudreau family’s impact, both on the ice and throughout South Jersey, will never be forgotten.
