Congressman Donald Norcross, representing New Jersey’s 1st district, shared his thoughts on immigration reform and public safety through a series of tweets. Norcross has been serving in the U.S. Congress since 2014, following his tenure in the New Jersey General Assembly and Senate.

On January 24, 2025, Congressman Norcross expressed his views on immigration reform via Twitter. He stated that “What we really need is for Congress to do its job and put together a comprehensive immigration reform law — that protects our borders, promotes public safety, and creates a legal pathway to citizenship.”

In another tweet on the same day, Norcross addressed concerns regarding immigrant safety in the United States. He tweeted that “Rounding up immigrants in this country with legal status isn’t making us safer. In fact, it could have the opposite effect by inciting fear and preventing crimes from being reported.”

The following day, on January 25, 2025, Norcross highlighted services available through his office. He informed constituents about various types of assistance provided by his office through another tweet: “Did you know my office is able to help with a wide range of services? Whether you need help navigating a federal agency, need assistance with veteran benefits, or are looking to tour the US Capitol, my office is here to help!
