Congressman Donald Norcross, who represents New Jersey’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, recently addressed issues ranging from military operations abroad to healthcare affordability and local engagement in a series of posts on social media.

On January 3, 2026, Norcross expressed appreciation for the military after a recent operation involving Venezuela: “I want to first extend my gratitude to our brave servicemembers for carrying out this operation without loss of life. While Nicolás Maduro is a dangerous and illegitimate leader, and his removal could benefit the Venezuelan people, how these decisions are made matters.”

The following day, January 4, 2026, he commented on healthcare costs faced by American families: “Healthcare is one of the biggest costs families face, and it’s already stretching budgets thin. Pretending affordability concerns are a hoax ignores what patients, seniors, and working families are dealing with right now. Everyone deserves access to quality, affordable”

On January 5, 2026, Norcross shared about meeting with Governor-elect Mikie Sherrill in South Jersey: “It was great to spend time with Governor-elect Mikie Sherrill in South Jersey last week at Ponzios. We got the chance to chat with people about how we can make New Jersey stronger!”

Norcross has served as the representative for New Jersey’s 1st district since replacing Rob Andrews in 2014. Prior to his tenure in Congress, he served briefly in both the New Jersey General Assembly and Senate between 2010 and 2014. Born in Camden in 1958 and currently residing there at age 64, Norcross continues his legislative work focused on both national policy issues and local community engagement.
