Congressman Donald Norcross, who represents New Jersey’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, has recently addressed a range of local and national issues through his official Twitter account.

On February 12, 2026, Norcross recognized the longstanding role of the NAACP in American society. He stated, “For 117 years, the @NAACP has led the fight to expand civil rights and strengthen our democracy. Today we recognize that legacy and recommit ourselves to work toward justice, equality, and opportunity for all.”

The following day, on February 13, 2026, Norcross expressed concern over an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operation in Lindenwold. He wrote, “I am outraged by reports coming out about the ICE operation in Lindenwold yesterday. Their tactics and lack of transparency have instilled fear in the community and have put children in harm’s way. Schoolchildren are not criminals, and enforcement actions must reflect that.”

Later on February 13, Norcross announced funding for educational development at Camden County College. In his tweet he said, “Today, I delivered $850K for Camden County College to develop and expand their electric vehicle technician training facility. As NJ transitions to having more EVs on our roads, we must ensure student technicians are trained to the highest safety standards. We are building the”

Norcross has represented New Jersey’s 1st District since replacing Rob Andrews in Congress in 2014. Before serving at the federal level, he was a member of both the New Jersey General Assembly and Senate between 2010 and 2014. Born in Camden in 1958 and currently residing there at age 64, Norcross remains active on issues affecting both his constituents locally and broader topics such as civil rights.
