Congressman Donald Norcross, who represents New Jersey’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, recently posted a series of updates on his social media accounts addressing student opportunities, child nutrition, and workplace safety.

On April 8, 2026, Norcross reminded high school students about the approaching deadline for the Congressional Art Competition. He wrote: “The deadline for high school students to submit artwork for the Congressional Art Competition is almost here! The winner will get to visit DC for a reception and have their artwork on display in the Capitol for a year. Deadline for submissions is April 20th. For more info, visit:”.

Later that day, Norcross highlighted efforts to combat hunger during Global Child Nutrition Month. In his post from April 8, he stated: “April is Global Child Nutrition Month, and our nation’s food banks are critical in the fight against hunger. Places like the Food Bank of South Jersey are working each and every day to make sure that American families get the food and nutrition they need to not only survive, but”.

On April 9, 2026, Norcross criticized former President Donald Trump’s policies affecting workers’ rights and safety. He wrote: “Donald Trump continues to disrespect the American worker. On top of his tariffs, corporate handouts, and anti-union actions, he’s now proposing massive cuts to the agencies that keep you safe on the jobsite. Its another example of Trump and MAGA Republicans helping their”.

Norcross has served as a member of Congress since 2014 after replacing Rob Andrews and previously held positions in both the New Jersey General Assembly and Senate between 2010 and 2014. Born in Camden in 1958, Norcross remains a resident of his hometown while continuing his legislative work representing constituents from New Jersey’s 1st District.
