On Wednesday, the Board of Commissioners joined forces with Mayor Victor Carstarphen and nearly 100 employees from the Philadelphia 76ers to clean up Farnham Park in Camden City. This event also included a basketball clinic hosted by the 76ers for local students from Creative Arts High School and Camden Charter.

The cleanup effort is part of the broader Camden Strong initiative and aligns with the 76ers’ volunteer program, Project 76. This program encourages team staff to dedicate at least 76 hours each season to community service with various partners.

“These clean ups allow us to come together and show care for our community spaces,” Commissioner Al Dyer remarked. “The 76ers are constantly showing up for the City of Camden and we are honored to host them for this special event.”

During the cleanup season in 2025, the City of Camden Department of Public Works will assist by collecting debris, including large bulk trash items. Residents will have access to information on recycling, e-waste, trash disposal, litter prevention, and other city programs.
