On Thursday, the Camden County Board of Commissioners awarded scholarships to local students through the New Jersey Association of Counties Foundation. This non-profit organization offers financial aid to graduates from county vocational and technical schools who plan to continue their education at New Jersey’s colleges or universities.

“These students have bright futures ahead of them and these generous scholarships will help them as they navigate this next chapter of their lives,” stated Commissioner Director Louis Cappelli Jr. “We understand the value in investing in vocational and technical education, and we are thrilled that NJAC values this type of education and the positive impact it makes on our communities.”

The recipients of the scholarships include Ian Choplin attending Rowan University, Sohan Patel attending Camden County College, Jada Johnson attending Rutgers University, Carlie Farren attending Rowan University, Wyatt Dzmelyk attending Rutgers University, Phoenix Staines attending Rowan University, and Eva Prosser attending Rutgers University.
