Camden County Commissioner Fleisher visited the Food Bank of South Jersey facility on April 7, meeting with Jane Asselta, who became President and Chief Executive Officer on February 16. The visit included a tour of the facility and discussions about the Food Bank’s expanding efforts to help families in South Jersey access nutritious food and long-term wellness resources.
The visit matters as it highlights ongoing partnerships between county officials and organizations working to improve community health. The Food Bank’s Health & Wellness Program was a key focus during the tour. This program includes classroom instruction, cooking demonstrations, food tastings, grocery store tours, school assemblies, and multi-session courses that teach participants how to prepare and enjoy foods provided by the Food Bank.
