The Camden County Mosquito Control Commission is set to conduct spraying operations early Thursday morning throughout various locations in the county. The efforts are aimed at controlling the mosquito population and will take place between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m., weather permitting.

Commissioner Jeffrey Nash, who serves as the liaison to the Camden County Mosquito Commission, emphasized the importance of residents being vigilant about standing water around their homes. “It’s important for homeowners to check their yard and get rid any standing water to prevent mosquitos from spreading,” Nash stated. He further advised checking flowerpots and other containers for water accumulation, noting that proactive measures can significantly impact mosquito control efforts.

The targeted areas for spraying include multiple streets across Cherry Hill, Haddonfield, and Camden. This initiative is part of an ongoing effort by the commission to manage mosquito populations in the community.

Residents are encouraged to cooperate with these efforts by ensuring there is no standing water on their properties, which could serve as breeding grounds for mosquitoes.
