The Camden County Board of Commissioners is actively promoting its seasonal farmers’ market voucher program to support senior citizens. This initiative aims to reduce expenses for eligible seniors by providing grocery vouchers that can be used at various farmers’ markets in Camden County.

The program runs from May to November and is available to seniors over the age of 60 who meet specific income guidelines. Qualified participants will receive a $40 voucher exclusively for purchasing locally grown fruits and vegetables.

“The summer voucher program is a lifeline to so many seniors here in Camden County,” stated Commissioner Virginia Betteridge, liaison to the Division of Senior Services. “No one should worry about being able to afford fresh, nutritious food and these vouchers allow us to alleviate some stress for our residents.”

Participating locations include Collingswood Farmers’ Market, Kumarie’s Garden, Springdale Farms, Stella Farms, Haddonfield Farmers’ Market, and Pastore Orchard Inc., with varying operating hours throughout the week.

Eligibility criteria require applicants to be at least 60 years old, reside in Camden County, and meet income guidelines. Vouchers are issued as QR codes worth $40 per person and must be used at designated farmers’ markets rather than grocery or produce stores. Proper information is required for QR code issuance.
